Welcome to The Plough
The Plough is a cosy 17th Century countryside gastro pub serving fine real ales such as Spitfire and seasonal Whitstable Bay as well as our guest ale Harveys Best. Food is served daily.
Close to the Weald Way, the pub is well-situated for walkers. There is a large sunny country garden and superb safe play area for the children. In the winter months you can snuggle up in front of our cosy log fires in the bar and restaurant areas.
The Plough is probably one of the only pubs where there is an outside window in the middle of the building and is steeped with history. When the bar area was extended many years ago, the builders decided to leave the window in the wall, and it was re-discovered during more recent renovations.
The Plough was frequented by the infamous Horatio William Bottomley MP as it neighboured his estate.
