Our food

The award-winning chefs at The Plough produce a mouthwatering menu of modern pub classics, with delicious dishes crafted from exceptional local ingredients.

Everything here is homemade and prepared fresh on the premises (right down to the sauces, pickles, pates and condiments), while all meat and vegetables are carefully sourced daily by the Head Chef from local farms. 

In addition to the main menu, there’s also a series of Plough Specials to try, plus gourmet sandwiches available at lunchtimes and a selection of indulgent desserts, all served in the country-style restaurant, relaxed bistro bar or outdoor terrace.

Brilliant Day - The only two words to describe dining at the Plough is brilliant and excellent. The food, service, atmosphere all fall into the two categories.

Wow wow wow wow - There's not a lot I can say to justify the food here apart from wow wow wow wow wow.. It's the kind of food you wouldn't expect from a pub... Lovely staff, buzzing atmosphere lovely gardens would be amazing in summer and the kind of place you could stay all day eat drink and be merry ( as long as you had a taxi booked)!

Totally Stuffed - We thought time to give The Plough a go after using the Red Lion in Chelwood Gate for our meals out. Well the food was so scrummy, hot food, hot service hot atmosphere, hot roaring fire. you must give it ago. thanks for a great night out.
